Mixed media canvas for Gina's Designs

Hi Everyone! This is my take on an inspirational  piece. You can find the inspiration piece here .  I started my project with a 10x10 canvas and used texture paste with Punchinella in different shapes for the background effect.
I used water soluble wax pastels in blues, pinks and yellows. Once that was dry I went
over the whole thing with some gesso. I used an old credit card to apply the gesso, and that allowed me to scrape some off and make thicker in other spots for more texture.

Then it was time to add stuff! I used the scissors from the Vintage Seamstress Shape Set and wings
from the Garden Fairies Set ( well...their wings :). They were painted with gesso and inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I hope you like my take on this project, it was a lot of fun to make! Thanks for taking a look. :)

Artist Trading Blocks

Good morning, Deann here with a project for Gina's Designs. I had so much fun making the beach themed
Artist Trading Blocks, I will definitely make more of these! The possibilities are endless.

You get 3 sizes of blocks in a pack, they are so easy to put together, I painted both sides of the blocks with gesso before putting them together. The Light house is from the Beach Shape Set

I made a base out of chipboard and covered it with burlap. I then painted 4 mini wood spools white and glued to the bottom of the block then attached the block to the base.

I glued the medium and small blocks together, left the top block open and added mini spools to the bottom block. I then attached the blocks to the base. The sea horse is from the Sea Horse Shapes Set
. I covered it with 3 shades of blue glitter.

The paper cut outs are from K&Company-Travel Die cuts.

I put a glob of hot glue on the base and covered the glue with seed beads. It kinda looks like sea glass.

Special order from Gina's Designs

Good morning Crafty People, Deann here with a very cool project from Gina. Did you know that you can make special orders? Well you can! Here is a project that I made for my craft room using a very big Eiffel Tower. The measurements of the Tower are 25 inches tall and the bottom of the Tower is about 14 inches wide. It's very big and very awesome ! Any item in the store can be special ordered in different sizes.
I also used one of Gina's Doily Set 8 inch cut in half and two Paris labels.

Lots of flowers and leaves. Two ribbons were used on the bottom of the canvas and some brass studs.
Wood letters that spell Paris were painted green and black.

I painted the Eiffel Tower tan. When that dried I added Crackle Medium and let it dry. I then painted over the crackle medium with a bronze brown paint
Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Photo of my Grandperents

Good morning, for my DT project for Gina's Designs, I used Gina's Page Frame Flourished . It fit perfectly on  a cardboard cake circle ! On half of the cake board I exposed the corrugation and on the other half I covered with paper.  The photo is of my Great Grandparents. It was taken in Rosetta Italy ! Love this photo, I covered the edges with some gesso and then layered it with dark brown paper.
For the frame I used a brown paint daubber in expresso. I then hit the edges with a little gesso.
I added lots of flowers and lace from Craftsupplies1 and one of my paper butterflies .The words Together and Forever are from the 10 words  chip board set.
Thanks for stopping by :)
